Jaguar Hockey | Position Opportunity
Jaguar Hockey is seeking an experienced hockey professional to serve as Hockey Advisor during the organization’s transition toward a new hockey leadership structure.
This is a temporary position intended to provide guidance to the Board of Directors while offering active, hands-on support to our hockey programs, coaches, and players. The Hockey Advisor will play an important role in maintaining continuity throughout the transition, including assisting with the planning and launch of our upcoming spring hockey programs.
Current Jaguar Hockey coaches and other qualified internal candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Applications from qualified external candidates will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Provide hockey-related guidance and recommendations to the Board of Directors.
Assist with day-to-day hockey operations and help maintain continuity throughout the transition.
Take an active role in planning, organizing, and launching Jaguar Hockey’s upcoming spring hockey programs, including coordination with the Board of Directors and coaching staff.
Assist with spring program structure, player development opportunities, coaching needs, and scheduling considerations.
Support and mentor coaches across all age levels and programs.
Evaluate player development practices and recommend improvements.
Promote consistent coaching expectations and player development philosophies.
Assist with communication and collaboration between coaches and the Board of Directors.
Provide guidance regarding USA Hockey standards, league requirements, and youth hockey best practices.
Help implement improvements approved by the Board of Directors.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience coaching or leading youth hockey programs.
Familiarity with Jaguar Hockey’s programs, coaches, and player development structure is preferred.
Strong understanding of hockey operations and age-appropriate player development.
Experience planning or coordinating youth hockey programs or seasonal activities.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with fellow coaches and club leadership.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to transparency, accountability, and working within the organization’s established governance structure.
Position Structure
This is a temporary leadership and operational support position intended to assist Jaguar Hockey during its hockey leadership transition.
The Hockey Advisor will report directly to the Board of Directors and serve in an advisory and operational support capacity within the authority granted by the Board.
The position does not carry independent Board voting authority.
The anticipated term, responsibilities, time commitment, and compensation, if applicable, will be determined through the Board’s approval process.
Future Leadership Opportunities
Individuals selected for this position may also be considered for future hockey leadership opportunities within Jaguar Hockey.
Appointment as Hockey Advisor does not guarantee selection for any future role. Any future appointment will be subject to the appropriate review and Board approval process.
