The Jaguar Squirt House team and friends attended the  #3 DePaul Blue Demons ACHA Hockey team vs the # 2 Michigan State Spartans at the North Shore Ice Arena Saturday Feb 12th.  Our team was welcomed by the Blue Demons  with a gift of a Blue Demons "terrible towel".  The team was then treated to a pizza party and a meet and greet with the Blue Demons players.  The night was special for many reasons.  All the players were so outgoing with the kids and eager to speak with them and answer any questions.  It was senior night, so we were able to share this special event with the players and their parents. We were able to go on the ice pregame and take pictures with the whole team.

What was really special about this night is that the Jaguars have a connection with the Blue Demons.  The Jaguars very own Coach and former Jaguar player Jerry Fronek has been the Hockey Director and Head Coach for the Blue Demons for the last four years.  Assistant Coach Tom Moretti is a form Jaguar and one of the 35 families that kept the Jaguar NIHL charter alive after the fire in 1991 by traveling to other rinks to practice and play.  Two players on the Blue Demons, Cody Staehely and Tom Jepsen both were former Jaguar teammates.   Their names can be seen hanging at Inwood on the banners above our sheet of ice both as players and coaches for the Jaguars.  They both did not dissapoint their fellow Jaguars.  Cody scoring the fourth go ahead goal and Tom recording 2 assists

**You may spot them hanging around at the rink in the summer when they are home for summer break. 

The night ended with the Blue Demons defeating the Spartans 5-3 in a fast and exciting game!!  After the game, the Jaguar players greated the DePaul players with high fives and congratulations.  The Depaul players thanked them by handing out sticks and autographs!!  What a wonderful experience  the kids had!!
