Team PeeWee Shugle would like to formally invite the Illinois Hockey Community to their game vs. Rockford on Saturday, February 7th at 4:35pm at Joliet Inwood Ice Arena as they honoring Parker Farrero as their honorary Coach/Player of the game!

Parker, who LOVES hockey, is a 2nd grader at Gardner Grade School.  Parker has been diagnosed with Battens disease and is currently blind.  Battens is a rare neurological disease that robs children of their lives and is terminal.  Currently, there is no cure or treatment for Battens. Team Shugle’s goal is to raise awareness of Battens and simply give him the experience of being a member of a team; something all children deserve.

This will be a Jaguar TV game and we have MANY surprises in store for Parker and his family!  We would LOVE to fill the stands and show them how truly wonderful our Illinois Hockey Community is!  Come out and show your support for Parker while he “Battles Battens.”  Need further information? Please contact Lauren Walsh at lwalsh2@mac.com.
